Hallo,
I have the Asus RT-AC87U, connected to BT Openreach modem (in England), have installed the latest Merlin, and with the help of a few kind souls everything is working OK.
I am very rookie on these issues (though know a bit about PC's, coding etc) and I would like to make it even better, so here are a few questions please:
1) I was told that "with an unlocked version", I could pump up the TX power to 200 or even more, which would be desirable (better range, better speed).
How do I unlock? How do I then set the power up?
2) Is there a "Tutorial" somewhere with the recommended configuration/steps to take?
3) I see CPU temperature at nearly ~80. I understand it is to be expected, but would you recommend a fan to keep it cooler, or is it not necessary?
