Router chart Question ?

I just noticed that the routers are tested set too DMZ and with the IPSEC turned off so does that mean the Trendnet TEW-633GR that i've just ordered will give me alot less Wan to Lan throughput than the 230mb stated when used as a normal router with the firewall active ?

ifso i'm gutted as that would mean the router maybe no good for my 50mb cable internet or when they upgrade too 100mb next year. as the lynksys rvs4000 for example is next too useles in realworld use.

Putting the test client in DMZ has no effect on throughput. I do not disable IPsec when testing. I sometimes disable SPI (Stateful Packet Inspection). Most routers (the TEW-633GR included) do not have noticeably different throughput when SPI is enabled/disabled. If they do, it is noted in the review, as was the Linksys RVS4000.

I mixed up IPsec with SPI and totally misread how routers are tested.
