Router dropping WAN on GT-AX11000

Router has been working great for a couple of years. But my Aimesh node was putting out a weak signal due to the weak wireless backhaul.

I used MOCA adapters to backhaul my Aimesh node. There was interference on the coax network, the MOCA signal was running on the cable modem line. Since then, I have separated the coax for the modem and nodes. They don't run on the same coax network anymore. But the problem still persists. My router keeps dropping WAN intermittently (hrs. or days) and the whole the network seem sluggish when it runs.

Since all this started, there was a Merlin update that was installed. Not sure if that was a problem, therefore I reverted to stock firmware and the problem is still there.

I turned off DFS and increased the lease time, and it ran well for a day, and went back to dropping out.

It has been a couple of weeks since this started. I have read many forum posts and I have tried most remedies, but I am still stuck. Any help appreciated.

If it is the WAN dropping out replace the Ethernet cable between the router and modem.

And try a secondary WAN port on the router, if available, if swapping the cable out doesn't have an effect. Same thing on the ISP router/modem if available.

I tried the new cable first and reset the modem. Things seem to be back to normal operation. I will connect up the MOCA over the weekend.

Thanks for the help.
