mb/sec = mega-bits/sec??

Convention says MB/sec = megabytes/sec

WiFi distance? Degree of non-line-of-sight? End device is?

well lets say hes using megabits not megabytes so hes probably using wireless b. He has no clear indication of the units so we should assume they are what they are in which case hes probably looking in the low end.

well, jdownloader say miB/s and bittorrent say mB/s for the same measure of traffic
i am talking about 5miB/s of jdownloader or 5mB/s of bittorrent

i discovered that router detect my wlan card how 40MB of bandwidth, and using jdownloader don't reach more of 4,0miB/s, have it something relation?

and the distance is 10m , modem is connected via cable to nexxt router, and the router is connected of my pc by wiffi

thanks

let's be conformists for a moment

b = bits
B = Bytes

Always.

so i talk about B = Byte when i wrote another answer

You did mention that your wifi card said 40MB of bandwidth. If you were looking under the network properities, it would actually be saying connected rate is 40Mbps (megabits).

That means, based on everything and assuming you are running a 40MHz wide channel, signal reception is pretty crummy.

That said, if you can get 30Mbps right now via wifi, swapping to any old N300 router should give you something in the range of 80-100% more bandwidth, roughly 50-60Mbps, with the card you have right now.

If you want more than that, based on the relative location of your computer, you'll want an 11ac router and an 11ac PCIe WLAN card for it. That'll probably ensure you can get over 100Mbps, but the distance between router and PC right now means that is mildly dicey, but probably attainable.

Depends on where the computer is mounted. If the case is going to be between you and the antennas, I'd say go the Archer c4u with a USB3 cable and cradle so that you can mount it sitting on your desk and be able to move it around for best positioning.

If the case isn't going to be in the way, I'd go with the WDN4800, so that you can utilize 3-stream 2.4GHz.

well, i've bought router ac1750 and t4u usb.
now download in 6.5MB/s with 5ghz wifi, but when i upload a file, it upload for 250kb/s, and my velocity of upload is 1MB/s,
in the option of T4U USB wifi have

enable adaptivity - disable
ldpccap - VHT LDCP TX|RX & HT LDCP TX|RX
qos support - support qos
stbcCap - VHT STBC TX|RX & HT STBC TX|RX
USB SF Mode - disable
USB Switch Mode - force mode usb 3.0
Wifi Config - Performance (the another option is wifi)
Wireless Mode - IEEE 802.11ac (the another options are other mode, but i've changed it becouse download velocity work better)

you suggest change any option?

thanks
