Router logging safe to use in long term

I have a technical question:

you can configured the router to log when a WAN access is denied for any reason.

My question is that these logging operations, are they logged in a non volatile memory on in a ram file system.

If i am using the option to log the denied wan access all the time, will it wear out my router non volatile memory at some time?

Syslog is written in RAM, so no need to worry about it.
