Router showing modem at 100 Mbps suddenly

In this case as a workaround activate Dual WAN and move the Primary WAN to LAN 1 port. Continue using the router as usual after.
I was making my post and going through what I actually used in the settings and came across this and was reminded that it exists lol.

I would just have to put my work PC on the old WAN port since that one is fine to be at 100 Mbps, and then all my personal stuff can be faster.

Definitely going to try this, but still would prefer a fully functioning router.

At least temporary until you find a router replacement. You may want to take a look at Ubiquiti UDM7 as alternative. Few people around got one and happy. For $30 more (US pricing) you get true tri-band Wi-Fi 7 AIO device with many advanced features.

Well I can't seem to get it working. I saw in the router it said that my ISP's DHCP does not function properly.

I tried power cycling the modem, but still nothing.

Regarding that router, the idea of the features does sound pretty nice, in addition to the hardware advantages.

The only thing I dislike is I'd have to immediately switch to SFP. I don't know anything about that. Would I need to buy an RJ45 to SFP+ adapter?

I was using all 4 2.5 Gbps ports with my preferred configuration prior to the router showing signs of failure.

I just tried to connect back to wifi on my phone and it said connected without internet. My router had a red light on the internet symbol. I had internet, as confirmed by using it on my computer. I couldn't access the router page. I tried shutting off the router and turning it back on. Now I seem to be seeing a bunch of people from the same ISP as me (per ESET network inspector), and I still can't connect to my router. My default gateway is showing as my ISP's IP address, instead of it being my router. Very strange. I power cycled my modem and my router and the problem persists. For some reason even though I have the router connected, my gateway is my ISP.

UCG-Fiber might be a better bet if you want a UniFi router with 10G RJ45 on the WAN side. I'd stay away from RJ45-SFP adapters if you can; they are temperamental little beasts.

Thanks for letting me know.

Regarding the weird issue I was having, apparently having Dual WAN disabled doesn't change the primary WAN setting, and that setting has 2 options that are identically named with no way to distinguish between them (incredibly stupid). I switched it to one of the other 2.5 options after connecting my computer directly to the physical/marked WAN port on the router, then restored all my ethernet cables to the original configuration, power cycled my modem, and now things are all back to normal.

Just put a small 1 or 2,5 Gbit unmanaged switch on one of the other working LAN ports. connect PC and whatever cable was displaced into the new switch. edit - just saw your new post.
