Routing ip's through vpn

Hi

I have setup OpenVPN client with PIA. Works fine, what I want to do is only have download master on my router going through the vpn and afew other devices. Am I right in saying I need to add the list of devices to the routing policy I want through WAN, then add the ones I want to use the VPN put them through VPN. My question is though if I want download master to use the VPN do I add my router's IP address to the routing policy then pick VPN ? I tried searching the forum beforehand. I found afew posts but no real answers to what I'm wanting to do.
