Routing specific computers through VPN

I have an ASUS RT-AC66U with various devices connected to it. I would like to route only certain devices through a VPN.

The devices would be my 2 computers and my cell phone, all wirelessly connected. I am using DHCP but have assigned IP addresses for my devices.

I would also like to exempt certain ports for Steam, etc.

The reason why I want to route only certain devices is mostly for gaming. Steam prohibits VPN use and I don't want my 360 using the VPN.

Are these things possible? How would this best be achieved?

I'm pretty sure I found something for routing specific ports through the VPN.

There are two ways, easy one: use Astrill where you can route selected devices via VPN thanks to their excellent applet for Asus router,

I don't have Astrill. I'm using Private Internet Access and I have no intent on switching. From what I can tell, you cannot download the applet without being a member.
