rsync on RT-AC68U with merlin 376.45

I was wondering if it is possible to get rsync working on my AC68U. I found some topics on getting rsync to work via entware, but this is not feasible on my AC68U. Any other options?

The ultimate goal is to make some backups of the most important files on my Synology NAS.

You should be able to add it using Optware, which is available for both MIPS and ARM based routers.
