I've upgraded to the latest firmware .1663 and there is only a slider to adjust the tx power. Did they do away with being able to set the power mw??

Yes. Per FCC mandate (that takes effect in 2016 IIRC), the power must be set below or at FCC limits and the end user is not to have access to adjust above that limit (If I understand it correctly). Seems as Asus has jumped the gun to make sure all their ducks are in a row.
