RT-AC1900P MIMO Question

New Around Here
Hi- networking novice here. Recently moved and wanted to do everything via streaming with a solid connection and needed to upgrade my old N router. After spending the last week researching routers (I had no idea how deep the rabbit hole goes...) I got comfortable with ASUS. I narrowed it down to the AC1900P (which I understand is exclusive to bestbuy) and the RT-3100, and eventually decided on the AC1900P. To cut to the chase, Bestbuy lists MU-MIMO as a feature of the AC1900P on their website here, however ASUS does not mention this on their product page- I find this to be a bit odd. I do see "MIMO, 3x3" under the specifications page of the AC1900P on the ASUS site. I understand that the RT-3100 has MU-MIMO 4x4.

I apologize if this is an ignorant question but do both routers have "MU-MIMO" capability? Is the only difference 3x3 vs 4x4? Is that a dramatic difference? I figure that I am sweating a minor detail / caught up in marketing hype, however I am curious about this discrepancy. Thanks in advance for any help!

Do not trust shops websites, the RT-AC1900P does NOT support MU-MIMO.
It does support MIMO, which is introduced with 802.11n.
The reliable source is the manufacturer:
https://www.asus.com/Networking/RT-AC1900P/specifications/
The RT-AC1900 is the next hardware revision of the good old RT-AC68U.
Dont worry too much, not many client devices do support MU-MIMO yet and the standard is not fully developed.

Thanks for the clarification! I've been impressed with the performance of the router (I'm starting from a low base).
