RT-AC5300 Compiling or Compiling Modules

I have the RT-AC5300 running Asus Merlin 380.68_2 .

It seems that the module br_netfilter does not exists. I was hoping that someone could tell me why?

I was thinking about compiling the firmware from source but the instructions dont say anything about the RT-AC5300.

Im not a Linux newb, but deffinately a novice at compiling firmwares.

My mail goal is to filter packets as they come in on br0 and I think I need br_netfilter for that.

Looks like it may have something to do with
net.bridge.bridge-nf-call-iptables

again im just googleing alot here.
