RT-AC66U - Dead device?

I keep getting this notification in my routers system log. What does it mean, and how do I fix it? The disc works just fine, and I am connected to it on 2 computers. It is a WD 2 TB external drive connected to my router.

I restarted the router a few times, and disconnected the drive. Since then I have not seen these messages. But if it comes back I will try your tips! :)
