RT-AC66U Media Bridge question?

OK I have a question and am curious to see what the answer might be. I am using a RT-AC68U as a wireless router and have a RT-AC66U in media bridge mode in my bedroom. It is working fine, for the clients connected to one of the AC66U's LAN ports, but it is also listing wireless clients on the network map section. When I select "Clients" I get a list showing them. Now the media bridge lists 22 clients while the router has 23. So the media bridge is not simply reporting the client list from the AC68U. My question is if the media bridge no longer broadcasts a SSID why are wireless clients being reported at all? Shouldn't the only listed clients be those connecting to one of the LAN ports? What am I missing or is my Polish sticking out again? Thanks in advance.

Seems like it pulls the list form the AC68U. The reason the AC68U has 1 more client is because it has the AC66U as a client. The other option is for the AC66U to be doing a network discovery and lsiting all machines it finds. Not sure which one it's doing but it shouldn't matter to you. They both should be listing all machines except themselves.

The AC66U lists the AC68U as a client and vice versa so your explanation doesn't fit. Sorry. One of my other media bridges, a Cisco Linksys WUMC710, is listed on the AC66U but not the AC68U (and the Cisco bridge is NOT hard-wired to the AC66U). Go figure. I also wish that the AC66U still broadcasted a SSID in the 2.4GHz band as it once did in media bridge mode. Why did they remove that feature?

That is weird. Then I have no idea what is going on. Anyway, why would you care what anything but the router lists as clients? Usually bridges are set up once then forgotten...

I care because I can. :D
