RT-AC66U_B1 Core 1 Max Out before firmware update and reset

I just upgraded from DOCSIS 3.0 to 3.1 or from about 200 Mbps to paying for 1 Gbps from ISP. Initially my speed only jumped about 100 Mbps after replacing my old DOCSIS 3.0 ARRIS modem with a new Netgear CM1000. Testing alone on the modem showed I was getting close to the 1 Gb. When I conncted my ASUS RT-AC66U_B1 router it slowed down to about 350 max on all network nodes. I upgraded the firmware version on the ASUS to the latest Merlin version 384.15 and reset it to factory settings and now everything is coming through the router at close to 1 GB to the rest of my network. What could have been holding my speeds back before the firmware upgrade on the ASUS? I had QOS disabled and an older version of Merlin firmware.

NAT acceleration was probably not fully enabled. Trend Micro features can prevent full CTF+FA acceleration. How old was the previous firmware?

I did have NAT acceleration on Auto as I recall the options on LAN switch control were the same as now. Jumbo frame off and Spanning tree On. I don't recall the exact number of the old Firmware but I think it was like 184_12 or _13.

Does having CTF enabled now mean that firewall features are bypassed? Are any other features not able to be utilized due to it being on?

CTF works with most features. FA will get disabled if certain conflicting features are enabled (e.g. Adaptive QoS, AiProtection, certain traffic monitoring).
