RT-AC68U in AP mode: worth upgrading from 380.57?

I'm running the RT-AC68U as just an AP as it sits behind a wired router. I've been on 380.57 for a while now and it seems to work well for the most part. The only potential bug I have is that many times when I click on the shortcut links on the status page to take me to the 2.4 and 5Ghz wifi settings I end up looking at the Guest settings (I don't have Guest enabled).

Anyway, is it worth upgrading to the latest Merlin? Any improvements/fixes in the wifi drivers for this particular router model?

Also not sure how the new firmware format affects me, whether it's better to stay on the older format or move to the new format.

Thanks for your help.

Used as an AP, the reasons may seem less important to upgrade to the latest firmware. But I feel that is more a justification of laziness as any benefits the documented and undocumented changes bring with each new firmware will be lost.

Some may be happy being blissfully ignorant.

I prefer to take advantage of any and all improvements possible for the router(s) I use and/or support.
