RT-AC68U, MAC Filter and PS4 Woes

I've recently come across a headscratching problem with my PS4 and the wireless MAC filter. I've regularly been getting network disconnections on the PS4, I've tried putting it in the DMZ, enabled uPnP and forwarded many ports corresponding to the PS4 needs on the network and had no luck. Only when I disable the wireless mac filter do I get a stable connection, I'm using Merlin Firmware: 380.59 but also had problems with v 380.58. Should the MAC filter cause this problem as I dont have the same issues with my PS3
