RT-AC68U smb wired speed optimization.

What can I do to optimize my RT-AC68U running latest Merlin build, for the usb to wired speed above 22-30mega bytes that I get. The 68 u is used as an ap with wireless radio disabled and connected to an RT-AC5300 via cat-6e.

It's already optimised. What kind of storage device are you using, SSD, HDD, flash drive?

Usb 3.0 HDD in Ntfs format. All my other nodes transfer at 50-60 megs per sec . This one best so far is 30-40.

Are the other nodes also RT-AC68U's? Make sure you have set USB Mode to 3.0 on that socket. Try using the other USB socket and compare the difference in speed.

SMB speeds are heavily influenced by the router's CPU speed. My RT-AC68U at 1.2GHz gives these results:
