RT-AC68U Upgrade Process?

A friend is getting a 68U tomorrow and I have no idea what FW is on it. Is there any special process to go from whatever that version is to the latest Merlin?

Merlin includes the CFE update in his builds if it's required....so no, should require nothing special. Just make sure to do a reset to factory defaults right after loading the code.

Excellent. And yeah, I know about resetting to defaults after the load. There won't be much of anything to reset, but I'll do it anyway.

Just try it first out of box before upgrading f/w. That is always what I do just to be sure, it's not DOA.
