RT-AC86U how to mount usb 3.0 thumbdrive?

I searched and couldn't find the answer. I reboot but the thumb drive which is a usb 3.0 won't mount in the 3.0 slot or the 2.0usb slot. There doesn't appear to be a mount button only format or scan. Stumped.

ExFat, maybe its that. I'm on a Mac so one usb that has worked is HFS+, but it doesn't allow the large file sizes that I want to work with on it. The drop down in asuswrt allows you to format to Fat, HFS, and NTFS, but I need something mac compatible that supports large files like 5GB or more.

exFAT isn't supported. Try ext4 instead (or ext3, or ext2 depending on your preference).
