RT-AC86U Wireless Tuning

With the plethora of options/settings for wireless, has anyone done a tuning/optimization guide of sorts for this router (or for Asus routers generally), or at least one that explains the various options?. Being relatively new at this, I'm unfamiliar with many of the settings. While I can start to google one option after the other, I wanted to see if anything is out there before reinventing the wheel.

Most users likely use the default settings unless noted otherwise. I've noted a few otherwise in my notes.
