Dear all.
Running a few years great. Latstes merlin on the router.

Only sinds a few eaks trouble and not good working internet.
I see 2x cpu running on 100%.
need a poweroff to get the cpu slowing down.
This works for a few days..

Any one that now how i can see what this problem should be?

I'm seeing near 100% pCPUs running 384.19 on an AC86U... posted about it in the main 384.19 thread. You would have to check the router logs... IDK what's causing it at this point. Hoping others report similar. Stay safe, stay alive. Peace.
 
Do you know the write speed of the USB you're using? Swapping my shirtty one for a better one stopped 100% CPU use for me.
 
... had something similar but on 1 cpu and after a health scan of USB, problem was gone ....

ok, scanned drive, cant hurt.
also seeing the high cpu on my ac86u

i am not running any scripts i know of, just a basic setup for years and years... ( have ai protection on ) i have Enable JFFS turned off.
say, what level of my system logs should i have selected ?? default, and log only... just looking for help here with what levels work well.

Ni usb on a usb port.
No other settings
After 3 day cpu2 running or 100%
Perhaps you can see something?

Run "top" over SSH to see what is using the CPU.

That CPU is pegged doing IO. If you have a USB disk plugged in try unplugging.
 
there is no usb in to the router..
That was the last time a problem only now there is no other thing in to

What other devices do you have connected - what happens if you move them to different ports / change the cables?
 
no other things @ all..
I changed the lan cables i reboot i power off..
in 5 minute the first cpu is @ 100 %
 
In your screen prints above I can see devices on Lan 2 and Lan 4, are these now disconnected? Are you accessing the router via wifi? What happens if you disable 2.4 and connect on 5.0 (and vice versa)?

You could also try enabling dual wan, which will allow you to use a lan port for the wan connection and connect your modem to the secondary port.

Assuming none of the above work, and powering down and rebooting from cold does not work then the possible/ probable causes seem to be

Faulty power supply
hardware fault on the router
hardware fault on the modem.
 
What scripts do you have installed?
