I searched for this before posting and didn't find anything so apologies if it's been asked before.
I just replaced my RT-AC68U AP with an 87U to test the range compared to the 68U. I was tooling around in the web interface and came across the WAN port reporting that it's only connected at 100. Just curious if this is cosmetic or not. I have a gigabit cat6 LAN with an Asus RT-AC68U sitting downstairs as my main router. When connected to the main 68U downstairs, my speedtests regularly max out my FiOS 150/150. When upstairs, they max out around 95/95 so maybe this is legit? If so, the same issue existed on my 68U AP upstairs.
EDIT
NVM, it looks like I had a GB switch in between that is no longer negotiating at GB. Replaced the switch, now it's GB.
