RT-AC88U: Can Merlin handle >4 TB?

I have a RTAC88U and I recently made the mistake of purchasing a WD My Book that is 6 TB w/o realizing that the official firmware doesn't support >4 TB. I can't find any data on if Merlin can handle a larger capacity or not. Does anyone know?
