RT-AX3000 (RT-AX58U) vs RT-AC68u

I have been using an RT-AC68u for a few years and thinking about getting a newer router Wonder how much an upgrade it is from the RT-AC68u to an RT-AX3000?

I am not so concern about speed. The signal level is on the low side at my garage but not bad enough for me to setup a mesh system. Would be great if the AX3000 has stronger coverage than the 68u. Also, I have about 20 or so devices now which the 68u handles fine. Wonder if it is close to its limit.
