RT-AX55 Cannot add LAN PC's to list

JollyRoger

New Around Here
Hello,
I have an RT-AX55 Asus Router
I am trying to block all outgoing and incoming traffic from a PC in my local network. I want to retain local wifi access to that PC but nothing over the Internet.
When I try to add a firewall rule to do this I get an error (see screenshots below.)

I do have a PC with the IP address shown in the local network. It has been assigned that static IP address in the DHCP settings (I believe)

Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? Maybe this is not the way to do what I want to do?

Thanks

Leaving the destination address field empty means "all destinations addresses".

So basically you want a deny list with two rules, one for TCP and one for UDP. Specify the source (LAN) address and leave the other fields blank (apart from the mandatory TCP/UDP protocol).

Thank you so much Colin Taylor !!👍

If all you want to do is block internet traffic to a specific main LAN client, one can use the Block Internet Access option either in Parental Controls > Time Scheduling or on the Network Map > Clients. This assumes your router supports either option. Examples attached. The block internet access client will still be accessible on the local LAN (Ethernet and WiFi).
