RT-AX86U DNS over TLS (DoT)

Running RT-AX86U on stock f/w 3.0.0.4.386.4606 (latest as of 2022-April-16), with the DNS over TLS enabled and pointed to Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1. However the Cloudflare DoT/DoH test at https://1.1.1.1/help fails, showing a "No" for "Using DNS over TLS (DoT)". In Firefox I can force DoH successfully via "Network Settings"->"Enable DNS over HTTPS", and the Cloudflare test passes for DoH. I recall originally enabling DoT on the previous firmware 3.0.0.4.386.45934, and it seemed to be working then. Can anyone confirm that DoT works on RT-AX86U on the latest stock f/w?? Thanks.

I'm an idiot. I was connected to my VPN, and the VPN will resolve DNS, not the RT-AX86U. When I disable the VPN, then Cloudflares DoT test passes with flying colors! Hope my oversight helps someone down the line!

I responded on this other thread, but I don't seem to have have guest WLAN buffering/streaming problems with DoT enabled.
