Hi, I just noticed my bandwidth was slow for a few days.. 100MBit instead of 500Mbit,, rebooted the Asus router, and sure enough, there is a FirmWare update.
Had anyone dared to upgrade?? Oh what the heck, I will do it..

Hi all,
Guess what, I am experiencing the same issue. This started with when my ax86u router updated to: Version 3.0.0.4.386.41535
This happens with my computer which has Intel ax200 wifi card, I keep losing internet for 30-40 secs and then it would come back itself. When, this happens, all other devices continue to work. Laptops, iphone, tv and ipad are fine.

This has been happening for over week. I have done a factory reset on my router and configured it from scratch and haven't made any changes to the default settings except I have enable wifi 6 with 160mhz bandwidth, which was also enabled prior to the firmware update. I have also enabled the ai protection as before but speeds are unaffected. I have reinstalled windows 10 and installed the latest wifi drivers for Intel ax card but the problem continues with the wifi. Sometimes I see wifi being disconnected and sometime wifi remains connected but no internet.

For me the log is flooded with:

Not sure how to decipher this. I havent changed anything withe router settings. The same setting have been working fine with 384 sdk but with the latest 386, it keeps giving me headaches.

Any help?

Alright, made the upgrade, connected 2 devices to the 5GHz WiFi band, and they are no longer disconnecting. Seems like Asus solved this problem in this FirmWare release early January 2021, without documenting it. I will continue adding devices to the 5Ghz band, lets hope it works.

Good to know but which early January firmware are you referring to? The only new 386 sdk firmware for ax86u was released on 31/12/2020 (Version 3.0.0.4.386.41535). After that, there was no update.

One this I have found is that there seems to be different versions of firmware around depending on what web site you go to.

For example for the AX88U, on the US site its RT-AX88U_3.0.0.4_384_9579, but on the Asia site its RT-AX88U_3.0.0.4_386_41700
