RT-AX92U no Wifi after firmware update with Recovery Mode

ManuD

New Around Here
Hi everyone

I have a big problem with my RT-AX92U. A few days ago, I tried to update its firmware. I was running version FW_RT_AX92U_300438823713. When I tried to update through the web interface, it wouldn’t let me — I got an error saying it couldn’t connect to the servers.

So I downloaded the firmware FW_RT_AX92U_300438823763 from the Asus website and updated it manually. Strangely, it stayed on the same version as before. I also tried other releases from the 388 branch, but nothing worked.

I ended up having to put the router into recovery mode and update it from there. It worked, but since then I have no Wi-Fi at all, on any band. The router itself works perfectly fine over Ethernet and provides internet to my entire network. I’ve tried everything — resets, Merlin firmware, etc. — but nothing has worked.

What could be going on?
Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Reboot your router and then wait a few minutes for it to fully initialise. Log into the router and go to System Log - General Log. Click on the Save button to save the log file. Upload the log file to www.file.io and then post a link to it here so we can take a look at it.
