RT-BE88U and logs

Hello,

So I have a RT-BE88U and my Mac mini running MacOS 26.3 Tahoe is filling my log with this error :
Feb 14 19:51:02 kernel: eth7 (Int switch port: 2) (Logical Port: 2) (phyId: 3) Link Up at 100 mbps full duplex AN: On
Feb 14 19:52:04 kernel: eth7 (Int switch port: 2) (Logical Port: 2) (phyId: 3) Link DOWN.
Feb 14 19:52:07 kernel: eth7 (Int switch port: 2) (Logical Port: 2) (phyId: 3) Link Up at 1000 mbps full duplex AN: On
Feb 14 19:52:52 kernel: eth7 (Int switch port: 2) (Logical Port: 2) (phyId: 3) Link DOWN.
Feb 14 19:52:54 kernel: eth7 (Int switch port: 2) (Logical Port: 2) (phyId: 3) Link Up at 100 mbps full duplex AN: On

It's when my mini goes to sleep. There is nothing I can do so far. I have to unplug the cable to end these warnings.
Is there an option somewhere in the router's configuration to dismiss those warnings ?

Thanx for your return :)

No.

The system log isn't really intended to be watched daily. Just like Windows' Event Viewer, its task is to log information in case it's needed for troubleshooting.

Thanx a lot for your reply :)
Last stupid question : is it preferable to unplug the mini when not using the Ethernet, so that the logs don't get filled up with those warnings ? I haven't counted them, but my guess is more than a hundred a day.

Thanx again for your feedback:)

Not sure if you use Merlin but you can change the log level which would not log those. But you might also be hiding other information that you do want to see as well. Before I switched IoT to thread, I had my wifi logs filled up with some neighboring unknown device sending auth/deauth commands, filling up my logs with 1k entries per day and it made troubleshooting hard because the log was filled up. It's not a problem for me anymore with 2.4ghz radio turned off. My point here is I get your frustration with seeing many entries in the logs. Now I use Scribe on Merlin but I don't know if that would suit your needs or not. Cheers.
