RT-BE92U and RT-AX88U Mesh Setup

Hi

I'm having a play setting up a mesh network with the BE92U and my AX88U.

Things seem to be working but I'm having trouble logging into the AX88U.
Am I correct in my thought that the AX88 should be the same user and password to log in as the BE92 ?

I previously set up as non mesh separate IP, Separate username/password and I could log in to both routers. In trying to set up and manage mesh, from the BE92 I get the following:

mesh1.pngmesh2.png

I have devices on wired connection to the 88U that I can see and access.

Device discovery shows both
mesh3.png

What am I missing ?

Thanks.

Both on Merlin FW (is this the issue?)

What am I missing ?
Nothing. The AX88U is a mesh node, so you don’t see a GUI to manage it separately. FW updates for it are managed from the primary router. VLAN LAN port capabilities (if both units are on Asus List of GNP routers) are managed from the primary router. Typing in IP address of the node will always redirect to the Primary Router GUI.
Both on Merlin FW (is this the issue?)
Nope. Stock is the same.

Am I correct in my thought that the AX88 should be the same user and password to log in as the BE92 ?
Yes.
