New Around Here
Hey guys, I recently got an Asus RT-N18U, and so far I have been happy with it.
Today, I connected a USB HDD to it's USB 2.0 port and copied a file from that HDD over SMB to a Windows 7 desktop connected via Gigabit Ethernet. I popped up a youtube video at 360p while copying the file. After a while, I realised that the copying bar was in red instead of green and it was showing that source file not found. Simultaneously, my internet(which connects via PPPoE on the router) also stopped working. I was only able to fix this via a restart of the router. On doing the copy again, I got the same results.
Is my router busted? I can get it replaced via warranty. I got it less than 30 days ago. Or is there some problem with the firmware on the Router and what can I do to fix it. Also, is RMerlin planning to make a version of Asuswrrt-Merlin for this router?
Hope to get replies on this soon.
