RT-N56U range/strength and Firmware

New Around Here
Has anyone else noticed that firmware beyond Revision "i" has strength and range issues?

I'm a bit far from my router, but wifi on my devices connects. Upgrade beyond "i" (even to the new numbered release) and I get very spotty connectivity. I can get an IP address, but thats about it.

Have you tried the new ASUS firmware (3.0.0.4.260) yet? IPv6 is also working on it. Might work better for you.

And don't forget to use the reset button to clear the settings for the old firmware version, and re-enter your settings after upgrading. Power-cycling after the reset, before re-entering your settings is a good idea as well.

Yup, I tried the new version, no dice.
