RT-N56U with WD TV Live

These devices don't work together in wireless connection. What can I do?

Some people resolved issues by upgrading their RT-N56 to the latest Asus beta firmware (see the sticky thread in this forum). Be aware that it will cause all your settings to be wiped.

even with the beta firmware 3.0.0.4.206 it doesn't work in wireless mode, just wired connections. =(

I have the stock as well as running the 206 beta now.
I have no issues with the WDLive in wireless mode.
I do have the Gen 1 version WD.

Have you updated the firmware of the WDL?

Another issue that may be causing issues is the wireless adapter.
WDL requires certain adapters.
I did need to get one on the list from the link below:

I have the Linksys WUSB100.

Use a USB wireless adapter.
You could hard-wire in too as it has the port for it.
Your choice.
