Rt-N66u Connection

Hi guys, i hope that you can help me. I have bought a new Rt-N66u to replace my BT Homehub 3 on an ADSL line. I know it's overkill for my present line, but i wanted the features it provides and also wanted to future-proof my purchase.

My question is this: Has anyone conneted one of these to their Homehub 3 on an ADSL line? And if so can tey give me a walkthru? I know it can be done, just not 100% sure how. Sorry but i'm a newbie to all this, but i do want to learn.

Looking at all the experience on this site, i'm hoping for some pointers.

From what I've read , you need to turn off DNS and DHCP on the router , make sure the router has a fixed IP address then connect it to your homehub ethernet port.

In the end i cheated a little! Bought a Draytek Vigor 120, mainly coz i didn't know what i was doing, but connection was a breeze! The Asus did nearly everything for me and we have now got a very strong dual-band home network. Sweet
