RT-N66U frequent crashes on latest FW

I have the latest firmware on my RT-N66U and I am getting frequent crashes and reboots (sometimes 2 or 3 (or 4) a day). I suspect that the issue is with the FW as I am sure it was more stable when I first got it.

I am thinking I should ditch the ASUS FW and use something else but don't know if I should use Tomato or Merlin. Can anyone advise?

Go back to .276 or use Merlins.

Gave Tomato-Shibby a go yesterday but it seemed very slow compared to the stock FW. Now have Merlins variation loaded and will see how that goes.
