Hi, everybody! First post for this forum.
I would like to know if we can use the RT-N66U in Repeater/Hybrid Mode (AP/WDS) to extend the range of the Prolink 5400N modem router. My friend's Prolink modem/router signal disappears if one is on the second floor of their house. Thanks for any info/advise one might give.

The stock firmware only supports WDS and Access Point modes. It does not support Repeater mode.

Thank you for the reply. So am I right to assume it's still possible to use the Asus router in WDS mode to connect it to the Prolink modem? On the other hand, would flashing ASUSWRT be of help to me?

No idea. WDS technology is often picky about connecting to different devices.

Asuswrt is the name of the stock firmware that comes with these routers.
