As discussed in other threads: 3.0.0.4.378.6065 is released for a whole range of Asus routers.
As seen before it is released as "for Japan only".
Experiences of the past learned that this release may anyhow be generic for all regions.

I have installed the firmware on my RT-N66U (Europe, the Netherlands).
Installation went smooth, with a hard-reset in between.
I noticed one glitch: after intial setup of the wireless settings, the router at some point forgot those settings and reverted the wireless settings back to default.
After re-entering the wireless part it seems all ok.
As discussed before: the way router firmware gets upgraded shall be enhanced. It is still not a task for dummies or the majority of router users around the world.

For those curious: the wireless driver for the RT-N66U is not changed in this version, still 6.30.163.2002 (r382208) as introduced with firmware version 3.0.0.4.376.3657.

The new logon screen is not very convinient on small screens and seems to ask for logon more often than before after setting changes.

The new "View List" button brings up a Client overview popup that doesn't bring much extra.
It is still often confused in number of actually connected clients.

I say it again: adding Merlins wireless site survey would be more beneficial and adds more than the still confused Client overviews.

Often I do see a follow-the-cursor tooltip, eg "USB Flash Disk". I guess after the cursor is hoovered over some part of the screen the tooltip sticks to the cursor untill you select another configuration screen.

I am not sure what else is updated, for sure some cosmetics and under the hood enhancements, at least it keeps the RT-N66U in pace (as far as possible) with the other router models.

For those curious: the wireless driver for the RT-N66U is not changed in this version, still 6.30.163.2002 (r382208) as introduced with firmware version 3.0.0.4.376.3657.

It's the same driver version but a different build date than the 3657's, so something was tweaked it seems.
