Run RT-N66U as wired-only router?

Are there any issues with disabling the wireless on the RT-N66U and running it as a wired-only router?

I remember some issues previously that I read about the N66U getting funny if both wireless networks were disabled, though I didn't know if that's been fixed or it's still out there as a possible issue.

Reason I'm asking is that I need an application with a good solid router than can handle higher-speed cable modem connections with numerous clients, wired and wireless, though the router would need to work as a wired-only solution with independent APs deployed around the environment.

I don't see any problem in keeping both wifi radios disabled.

Hi,

The only limitation I see are that you have only 4 LAN ports: You will need switches on this lines to connect more then 4 devices.

Even in my private home environment I need to run 2 switches to connect all the wired devices to the router.

With kind regards

I disabled both signals and just use my Access Point's signals. I am encountering minor network issues but it might not be the Router's issues.
