Sequence of reset

I did search and read a couple of FAQs on reset, backup and restore, but didn't find a clear answer.

If I do a factory reset and then restore, am I correct that the sequence is: load firmware, restore CFG then restore jffs?

What is the point of the reset if you use a backup config file afterwards?

Are you having issues that you want fixed? Using a backup config file is not the way to fix those.

In other words: do not restore cfg after a reset/clear nvram. Just set the router up from scratch.
