setting up MD5 on Asus routers?

In Asus Router Account settings: WAN>Internet Connection>Account Settings>Authentication has drop down tab with 802.1x MD5 selectable and below that when selected 2 more boxes appear PPP name and Password.
May I ask what does one put in these boxes or nothing just select the 802.1x MD5 and reboot
Thanks in advance

I'm curious about the replies to this, because if a 128bit hash is required, why wouldn't you set up entware and run cjdns for a node on hyperboria?
