New Around Here
I am trying to set up VLANs on a Powerconnect 2808 so that I can have separate subnetworks on my home network. I have the following setup but am not able to connect to the internet so I would greatly appreciate some help in troubleshooting.
Cable modem connected to Port 1 on the switch.

Switch > VLAN > VLAN Membership
B= blank, T= Tagged, U= Untagged
VLAN 1 (default)
Ports 12345678
Static BBBBBBBB
Current UBBBBBBB

LAGS 12345678
Static BBBBBBBB
Current UUUUUUUU

VLAN 20 (x86)
Ports 12345678
Static TTBUBUBU
Current TTBUBUBU

LAGS 12345678
Static BBBBBBBB
Current BBBBBBBB

VLAN 30 (Vonage Box)
Ports 12345678
Static TBTBBBBB
Current TBTBBBBB

LAGS 12345678
Static BBBBBBBB
Current BBBBBBBB

VLAN 50 (AUX5)
Ports 12345678
Static TBBBTBBB
Current TBBBTBBB

LAGS 12345678
Static BBBBBBBB
Current BBBBBBBB

VLAN 70 (AUX7)
Ports 12345678
Static TBBBBTB
Current TBBBBTB

LAGS 12345678
Static BBBBBBBB
Current BBBBBBBB

Switch > VLAN > Port Settings
Port PVID Frame Type Ingress Filtering
g1 1 Admit All Enable
g2 20 Admit All Enable
g3 30 Admit All Enable
g4 20 Admit All Enable
g5 50 Admit All Enable
g6 20 Admit All Enable
g7 70 Admit All Enable
g8 20 Admit All Enable

I have mostly left everything at default but can post more info if needed to help sort this out.
My goal is to be able to connect routers to Ports 5 and 7 and a PC router w/ single port on NIC w/ OpenWRT or DD-WRT to Port 2 with associated LAN ports at 4, 6, and 8.
Thank you for taking a look at this.

My guess is your cable modem does not support VLANs. You need to connect a router to your cable modem that supports VLANs.

I spoke w/ Spectrum and they said the modem would not be incompatible with anything. But, I put a VLAN on Router 1 then connected WAN of Router A to VLAN of Router 1 and got normal internet function. I then connected VLAN to Port 1 of the 2808 Switch and Router A to Switch Port 3 and PC to a LAN port on Router A with the following settings for VLAN 30 on the switch:

VLAN 30 (Vonage Box)
Ports 12345678
Static TBTBBBBB
Current TBTBBBBB

and...

VLAN 30 (Vonage Box)
Ports 12345678
Static TBUBBBBB
Current TBUBBBBB

and...

VLAN 30 (Vonage Box)
Ports 12345678
Static UBUBBBBB
Current UBUBBBBB

while
VLAN1 was always set at
Ports 12345678
Static BBBBBBBB
Current UBBBBBBB

None of the settings allowed me to access the internet. What do I have wrong?
