hopefully this translates ok for you. the easiest way to preserve your settings will be to take screenshots and re-enter them yourself. however, if the previous firmware is only slightly older than the new firmware, you probably will not need to reset. usually, you only need to reset if you upgrade to a firmware with a different wireless driver version. if you are upgrading from official firmware to merlin firmware, you will need to reset as the merlin firmware uses a special wireless driver that came from Asus, but can't be used in the official firmware.
