Hi Guys,
first of all hello!
I am running a LAN tournament in a University in a few months. The lan will consist of 45 systems including the competitors. The problem sits with the ports for steam being blocked by the university.
The lan was ran last year with a Vpn setup to bypass the internet blockage for connecting to steam.
my question
I am thinking from the wall in the uni into a switch, then from the switch into my machine and share the v9 adapter. I have a vpn in place ( air vpn ) 2 x 24 port switches and a windows 10 machine to share the vpn using a Tap v9 adapter. Is it a simple case of sharing the connection using ICS on the v9 adapter then using the switches to share it through the network essentially.
My first thought was i connect to the vpn as normal and see what ip they assign me for example 10.0.1.4, then configure each machine within that ip range and set the default gateway and dns as 10.0.1.1 which will be provided by the Vpn provider.
Thanks in advance for this guys !
