I have been watching a series (True Blood) on HBO Nordic on my laptop connected to my TV and using a ZyXel NWD2705 (Ralink RT2870 based according to the installed driver) USB WLAN N adapter and of course my new Asus N66U in the other end of the WLAN connection.
Thing work well at start. Amazing speed results. And no problems with video.
But after a couple of episodes the video suddenly starts to freeze for a couple of seconds (buffering) and this gets worse until almost total stop.
If I then exit the movie and try to load another webpage in Firefox (even the routers web-interface) things load sloooooooooow (a page take minutes).
Have tried to check everything, but the only thing that seems to fix it (in addition to rebooting the laptop) is disabling and enabling the WLAN network.
Anyone seen anything like this before? Any idea on what could be wrong?
PS! If I try to access web-pages from other dedices it all OK, so it seems like an issue between the ZyXel adapter and the RT-N66U. Very strange...
PPS! ZyXel has no newer driver their supportpage, but I found a driver just one month old from Ralink (now MediaTek) and that installed OK and things seem to work, but I havn't tested for a long time yet. Fingers crossed...
