Small bug?

I've got the -32 build on a RT-N66U, and Think I have discovered a small bug.

The background is that I have attached an USB-stick to the USB2-port, in order to store (as a backup) some files, only accessable from within the console (not shared via Samba).

First, I pushed "USB application" and "Servers Center". Then under "Network Place(Samba) Share / Cloud Disk", i choose my USB-stick, and then pressed "Disable Share". Now, the USB-disk isn't visible via Samba, but I can reach it from within the console. That far, everything is fine.

If I however reboot my RT-N66U, the USB-stick is suddenly visible through Samba again. When trying to "Disable Share" again, that option isn't there (only "Enable Share", as if it already was disabled). The workaround is to press "Enable Share" in order to get the "Disable Share" button to appear. Then if I press "Disable Share", the share is properly disabled.

It appears that the router forgets this setting upon reboot, but the GUI doesn't reflect that.

Do you have either the Master Browser or WINS options enabled on the Misc tab? Either of these will force Samba to start - that might be what's overriding your share option.

Thanks! That's it! Both of them are enabled! Seems to work now :)

I'll see if I can tweak that logic a bit to have these two features (sharing and master browser/WINS) behave better if sharing gets disabled.
