Why is it that on my ASUS RT-AC88U if I enable Smart Connect, it connects my laptop to the 2.4 GHz only with a max bandwidth of 300mbps?
I had to disable Smart Conncect and manually connect to the 5GHz network to get higher speeds (my internet connection is 100MBPS) because when connected to the 2.4GHz network, I only get a 30mbps max download speed when I test on speedtest.net
This is also the case for my other Linksys EA9500 router.
The router is located in a small room with a closed door which is about 12 feet away from me
