snmp monitoring of wifi interfaces

awrightus

New Around Here
Running 384.5 on an AC87U and playing around with snmp monitoring. I was hoping to monitor both wifi interfaces/radios, 2.4 and 5 ghz. When I walk the mib and look at all the available interfaces, all I see is wl0.1. How is there not a separate interface for both 2.4 and 5 ghz? Here are all the interfaces I see. Out of curiosity, what are ifb0 and ifb1? Seems like there would be a separate int for my guest net too. Thanks for any info.

ifDescr.1 = STRING: lo
ifDescr.2 = STRING: ifb0
ifDescr.3 = STRING: ifb1
ifDescr.4 = STRING: eth0
ifDescr.6 = STRING: vlan1
ifDescr.7 = STRING: vlan2
ifDescr.10 = STRING: eth1
ifDescr.11 = STRING: br0
ifDescr.12 = STRING: wl0.1

eth1 is the primary 2.4GHz radio. wl0.1 is the first guest network on 2.4GHz.

The RT-AC87U has a separate chip for its 5GHz radio so it doesn't show up as a normal interface. IIRC it's slaved off of one of the VLAN ports.
