speed of Apple Extreme v. Verion FiOS router

I know there's a review for the Apple Extreme router here

But was wondering if anyone's done head-to-head comparison of the Apple router v. the Verizon FiOS stock router, MI424WR for Verizon FiOS, in terms of speed and range.

Any thoughts on this? I think this issue may be coming to a head for me, as I set up my NAS.

I ended up getting the Apple Extreme. After some hiccups with the setup, range is both better and speed is better than the Verizon router (I'm using it with the n radio, not with the newer ac radio that is now in the updated Apple Extreme).
