Spontaneous WiFi disconnects

I'm looking in to my other thread about how to improve the signal.
AiMesh.... waaaayy too expensive. Looks good but can't afford it. :(
WiFi extender... maybe it'll work but not sure.
Power Line adapter... most likely the best option but how can I connect a WiFi only device?

Is it an old Roku... the one that follows your WiFi signal around, increases its own AP signal power, and interferes with your wireless clients? If it's that, I'd replace it with a newer Roku. My Roku Ultra WiFi Direct AP sits on ch 36.

Unplug your Roku to see if your laptop connection improves... it should be doing better than 263 Mbps on 5.0 AC.

OE
Just to confirm, it happened again today while the Roku was unplugged.
So, what's the next step?
